The Insect Sciences Museum of California supports personal and community development through conservation sciences research and learning that focuses on the entomological sciences and the other sciences and technologies that foster greener living for stakeholders in Oakland, the San Francisco Bay Area, California and the World.

"Moths of the Bay Area",
(SF Naturalist Society) Come learn about the diversity of local moths and the biology of their caterpillars. Free and open to everyone. Moth expert Dr. Jerry Powell received his B.S. (1955) and Ph.D. (1961) from UC Berkeley. He spent his long career at the University and currently holds the titles of Professor of the Graduate School and Director Emeritus of the Essig Museum of Entomology. Randall Museum, 7:30 pm.
