EXPLORING CALIFORNIA INSECTS PROGRAM
The Insect Sciences Museum of California supports personal and community development through conservation sciences research and learning that focuses on the entomological sciences and the other sciences and technologies that foster greener living for stakeholders in Oakland, the San Francisco Bay Area, California and the World.Insects of the San Francisco Bay Area ISMC is calling upon local scientists, naturalists and photographers to collaborative in"Insects of the San Francisco Bay Area" (ISFBA), an entomology outreach and publication effort. Through Bay Area residents will be trained to observe, recognize, collect, mount and photograph insects. Collaborators will post results onto a social networking website, the Exploring California Insects website, an online photo album, GoogleMaps, field guides and regionally specific learning aids.
