DESCRIPTION

These roaches are usually smaller (about 6 to 15 mm) than the Blattidae. Familiar species are the German cockroach (Blatella germanica) and the brown-banded cockroach (Supella longipalpa).
Identification
Females do not have the 7th abdominal sternum divided and males have asymmetrical terminalia which bear smaller styles than in the Blattidae.
