Members of this family are familiar insects. Bodies are generally
ovular and dorsally convex. Elytra are commonly red, orange or yellow. Tarsi
are 4-segmented, but appear 3-segmented. The third tarsomere is small and
obscured by the second tarsomere. Antennae are short and clubbed.
