Chrysidids tend to be parasitoids of the larvae of other wasps and bees.
They are frequently brilliant metallic green. The cuticle is hard and densely
punctate. The abdomen is concave, ventrally and allows the wasp to roll into
a protective ball. Venation in the hindwing is absent or nearly so.
