Lepidoptera are predominantly phytophagous in their larval stages, feeding
on plants of all types. The adults of many species feed at flowers or various
other sources of liquid food while some species have undeveloped mouthparts
and do not feed at all. Development: Lepidoptera are holo-metabolous (have
complete metamorphosis).
